Sometimes we tend to go overboard and hoard everything in store. This is called Greed and it's listed under the 7 deadly sins where it is also called Avarice. Remember the tale of the dog and the bone and the mirror image in the river? Remember what happened to the dog? It drowned. And so we've been taught from a very young age that Greed is a bad thing to have... Do not be greedy was the moral value of many childhood stories. So why do we still grow up being Greedy? In my humble opinion, Greed comes hand in hand with that "what if" question I hate so damn much...(only because it resounds in my head too many times it has become a downright nuisance!) What if this is better for me? But if I go for that one, what if this is even better? What if I just take both? What if I grab all? And so you have a handful of stuff accumulating in your closet because you can't help but want it all?But you see, sometimes, you can't have everything. You can try to hold on to as many items as you want, but you may not have enough room in your hand span to keep it all in place. Do you know what happens when you can't handle everything you've grabbed hold off? Some will slip away from you... Some will even crash and break into pieces... And that very piece you let slip may be the most valuable of them all... The others may just be cheap replicas that don't live up to your expectations. So where's the moral here? The moral here is you can't have everything. You can try, but don't be all pissed off when the thing you treasure most is lost in your bid for world domination. Be thankful for what you have, because believe it or not there are people worst off than you are. Stop whining and open your eyes to the jewels you have in the palms of your hands... You'd be surprised at what you already have.
