The H1N1 Paranoia

OMG!! I'm paranoid. H1N1 is now local. 11 deaths as of today... Apparently life must go on. The most we can do is practice good hygiene and if we have such symptoms... wearing a mask (3-ply) and keeping our distance should suffice. There's no need to worry unless you are in the high-risk group. There's a 98% chance you will recover and develop immunisation against the pandemic. But, if you have the disease you have to be responsible enough not to spread the virus to those who are in danger..
High risk groups include pregnant women, diabetic patients, obese people, people with organ transplant and generally people with weak immune systems. If you are in this group and are suffering the symptoms get yourself checked immediately!
If I'm not mistaken, if you're coughing and have chest pains plus a high fever for more than 3 days... you will be warded and quarantined. There's really not much you can do... In the end, it's all about being responsible. Wash your hands (hand sanitizer would be very handy at this point of time), cover your mouth when you sneeze and cough, get yourself checked if you have the symptoms, wear your masks, avoid public places, keep your distance and dispose your tissue and masks properly. Common sense, really.
Don't be a nuisance.
Just think about this... One sneeze can infect 30 people.
Let's be paranoid..

Note: 'WHO estimated 5,500 - 28,000* deaths from H1N1 in Malaysia' - this is really scary..
